L'affido del minore nelle situazioni familiari di criticità: il punto di vista dell'educatore.

Abstract

Ogni bambino ha diritto a crescere in un ambiente sicuro e amorevole, ma quando questo diritto viene messo a rischio, l’affido minorile diventa uno strumento fondamentale di tutela e speranza. Questo lavoro si propone di approfondire il tema dell'affido minorile, un argomento di grande rilevanza e attualità. La scelta di trattare tale tematica nasce da un'esperienza personale di tirocinio, che ha suscitato in me un interesse crescente verso le storie e gli interventi in contesti di vulnerabilità. Oggi, infatti, molte famiglie si trovano a dover affrontare la necessità di un supporto specializzato per garantire ai propri figli le migliori opportunità di crescita. L'elaborato è strutturato in quattro capitoli, ognuno dei quali affronta un aspetto specifico, cercando di rispondere alla complessità del concetto di affido. Nel primo capitolo, sono stati esplorati i concetti di minore, famiglia e status di figlio, fornendo una panoramica storica e contemporanea di tali temi. Il secondo capitolo analizza le situazioni di criticità familiare, il loro impatto sulla vita psichica e comportamentale del minore, e il sistema di tutela minorile, con particolare riferimento al principio del "best interests of the child". Il terzo capitolo si concentra sulla tematica centrale dell'affido, esaminandone la legislazione, le diverse tipologie e le problematiche giuridiche e sociali ad esso connesse. Infine, nell'ultimo capitolo, viene analizzato il ruolo dell'educatore, le competenze e le strategie necessarie, con un focus particolare sull'importanza del lavoro in rete con altri professionisti del settore. L’approccio adottato è di tipo qualitativo e si fonda sull’analisi approfondita di normative vigenti, letteratura accademica e report istituzionali, integrata da riflessioni critiche maturate durante l’esperienza di tirocinio, al fine di cogliere sia gli aspetti teorici sia quelli pratico-operativi dell’affido minorile. Every child has the right to grow up in a safe and loving environment. However, when this right is at risk, foster care becomes a vital tool for protection and hope. This paper aims to explore the issue of foster care for minors, a topic of great relevance and contemporary significance. The choice to address this subject stems from a personal internship experience, which sparked a growing interest in the stories and interventions within vulnerable contexts. Today, many families face the need for specialized support in order to ensure their children have the best opportunities for growth. This work is structured into four chapters, each addressing a specific aspect and aiming to respond to the complexity of the concept of foster care. The first chapter explores the concepts of minor, family, and child status, providing both a historical and contemporary overview. The second chapter analyzes situations of family distress, their impact on the child’s psychological and behavioral development, and the child protection system, with particular reference to the principle of the “best interests of the child.” The third chapter focuses on the central theme of foster care, examining legislation, the different types of foster arrangements, and the legal and social issues related to them. Finally, the last chapter analyzes the role of the educator, their skills and strategies, with particular emphasis on the importance of networking and collaboration with other professionals in the field. The adopted approach is qualitative and is based on an in-depth analysis of current legislation, academic literature, and institutional reports. This is complemented by critical reflections developed during the internship experience, in order to capture both the theoretical and practical-operational dimensions of foster care. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the subject.
