IL BUSINESS DEL GIOCO D'AZZARDO

Abstract

Il presente lavoro di tesi è stato svolto per avere un ampia visione di tutti gli aspetti, sia positivi che negativi, che il gioco d'azzardo può dare. Ho cercato di fare un analisi sulle criticità del sistema italiano di gestione e controllo del gioco pubblico, facendo luce sulla sua storia e su tutto quello che ci ha portati all'attuale legislazione vigente. Al fianco di una crescita esponenziale del gioco d'azzardo, che ha portato ingenti quantità di denaro nelle casse dello Stato Italiano si evince come siano sorti nel tempo gravi problemi di ludopatia per il giocatore compulsivo e una sempre maggiore presenza della criminalità organizzata in questo settore.

This thesis work was carried out to have a broad vision of all the aspects, both positive and negative, that gambling can give. I tried to make an analysis of the critical issues of the Italian system of management and control of public gaming, shedding light on its history and on everything that led us to the current legislation in force. Alongside an exponential growth in gambling, which has brought huge amounts of money into the coffers of the Italian State, it is clear that over time serious problems of gambling addiction have arisen for compulsive gamblers and an ever-increasing presence of organized crime in this sector.
