Sulla propaganda LGBT nella Federazione Russa: proposta di traduzione dal russo di articoli di legge, sentenze e di un articolo sul tema di M.A. Simonova (2023).

Abstract

La presente tesi di Laurea Magistrale tratta della proposta di traduzione di un corpus suddiviso in tre parti: la prima parte contiene un articolo della Dottoressa Simonova M. A. (docente di Discipline Giuridiche all’Università MGIMO di Mosca) riguardante il differente approccio della Federazione Russa e degli Stati Uniti d’America in merito al movimento LGBT e alla questione della relativa propaganda. La seconda parte è costituita dagli articoli attualmente in vigore all’interno della Federazione Russa sulla propaganda LGBT. L’ultima parte è composta invece dalla sentenza emanata il 30 novembre 2023 dalla Corte Suprema di Giustizia della Federazione Russa attraverso il quale si include il movimento internazionale LGBT nella lista dei movimenti estremisti. Obiettivo della presente tesi è quello di cercare di fornire, attraverso le seguenti traduzioni, un quadro chiaro della legislazione della Federazione Russa sulla questione LGBT. L’elaborato è stato strutturato come segue: il primo capitolo introduce l’argomento e la storia della comunità LGBT in Russia, esponendo brevemente come si sono sviluppate e modificate nel corso degli anni le leggi riguardanti questa comunità. Il secondo capitolo mostra i testi di partenza degli articoli sopra menzionati e le relative proposte di traduzione. Il terzo e ultimo capitolo è dedicato al commento, il quale si concentra principalmente sugli approcci traduttivi adottati e sulle tipologie di testi tradotti nonché sulle maggiori difficoltà traduttive che si sono incontrate e su come si è deciso di risolverle.

This Master's thesis deals with the translation of a corpus consisting of three parts: the first part contains an article published by Dr. Simonova M. A. (Professor of Legal Disciplines at MGIMO University in Moscow) regarding the different approach of the Russian Federation and the United States of America in relation to the LGBT movement and the issue of its propaganda. The second part adresses legislation currently in force in the Russian Federation on LGBT propaganda. The last part consists of the ruling issued on November 30, 2023 by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Russian Federation through which the international LGBT movement has been included in the list of extremist movements. The objective of this thesis is to provide, through the following translations, a clear picture of the legislation in the Russian Federation on the LGBT issue. This thesis has been structured as follows: the first chapter introduces the topic and the history of the LGBT community in Russia, briefly showing how laws regarding this community have developed and changed over the years. The second chapter shows the source texts of the above-mentioned articles and the related proposed translations. The third and final chapter regards the comments, which focuses mainly on the translation approaches adopted and the types of texts translated as well as the major translation difficulties encountered and how it was decided to solve them.
