Brexit: dal sogno alla disillusione. Sei anni di conseguenze economiche e sociali.

Abstract

La Brexit rappresenta uno degli eventi più importanti della storia contemporanea europea. A distanza di anni dal referendum, questa tesi esamina le conseguenze economiche e sociali del distacco del Regno Unito dall’Unione Europea. Attraverso un'analisi del percorso di adesione britannico all’UE e delle dinamiche che hanno portato alla Brexit, il lavoro approfondisce gli impatti economici della separazione e i cambiamenti nei flussi migratori. I risultati evidenziano come le conseguenze effettive della Brexit si siano rivelate ben diverse dalle previsioni iniziali, smentendo molte delle aspettative promosse dai movimenti anti-europei che ne hanno sostenuto l’uscita.

Brexit is one of the most important events in modern European history. Years after the referendum, this thesis examines the economic and social effects of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union. By analyzing the UK’s membership process and the factors that led to Brexit, the study explores its economic impact and changes in migration patterns. The findings show that the actual consequences of Brexit have been quite different from initial expectations, challenging many of the predictions made by anti-European movements that supported leaving the EU.
