La Sindrome da Burnout negli Adulti con Autismo

Abstract

La Sindrome da Burnout Autistico può essere considerata come un fenomeno relativamente nuovo nella ricerca psicologica, ma ciò non significa che il suo impatto sulle vite delle persone con autismo non sia da considerarsi grave, tutto il contrario. In questa tesi verranno prese in analisi diverse fonti di letteratura e ricerca nel campo dell’autismo per cercare di fornire una definizione chiara e omogenea della sindrome, cercando di dare priorità alle storie personali e alle voci delle persone con autismo. La stesura di questo elaborato ha evidenziato come ci sia un forte bisogno che la ricerca su questo tema avanzi e si evolva per poter comprendere al meglio l’impatto che la Sindrome da Burnout Autistico ha sulle vite delle persone con autismo e per fornire gli strumenti adatti a creare strategie di prevenzione e trattamento specifiche per questo fenomeno.

Autistic Burnout Syndrome can be considered a relatively new phenomenon in psychological research, but this does not mean that its impact on the lives of people with autism is not relevant, quite the opposite. This thesis will take in analysis different sources of literature and research in the field of autism to try and provide a clear and homogeneous definition of the syndrome, trying to prioritize the personal stories and voices of people with autism. The writing of this paper has highlighted that there is a strong need for research on this topic to advance and evolve in order to better understand the impact that Autistic Burnout Syndrome has on the lives of people with autism and to provide the appropriate tools to develop specific prevention and treatment strategies for this phenomenon.
