Genova e le altre: botteghe storiche a confronto per una possibile realtà in divenire

Abstract

Nel trattare il tema delle botteghe storiche e dei fenomeni attinenti, l’obiettivo che ci si propone di raggiungere è in primis quello di comprendere i meccanismi di tutela attuati finora; si cercherà poi di cogliere come questi si differenzino località per località, la loro efficacia e la loro validità; ci si domanderà se questi stiano davvero contribuendo alla conoscenza e alla promozione delle città. Ci si chiederà, inoltre, quali siano i pregi e i difetti dei diversi progetti, anche in merito all’opportunità offerta da un loro diretto confronto, e gli effetti e le ipotesi a carattere generale che tutto questo comporta.

In dealing with the topic of historical shops and related phenomena, the primary objective is to understand the protection mechanisms implemented so far. We will then try to understand how these differ from place to place, their effectiveness, and their validity. We will ask whether these mechanisms are truly contributing to the knowledge and promotion of cities. Moreover, we will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the different projects, including the opportunities provided by a direct comparison, and the general effects and hypotheses that all this entails.
