La musica come promotore della coesione dei gruppi

Abstract

In questa tesi si vuole esplorare il concetto di musica, partendo dalla sua storia, passando attraverso la mitologia, fino ad arrivare a ciò che oggi rappresenta. Prendendo spunto, dai alcuni libri che trattano il tema della musica, approfondirò il significato e l'effetto della musica sui giovani, Concentrandomi in maniera più specifica sulla sub cultura hip hop, dalla sua nascita alle sue evoluzioni, prestando particolare attenzione alla scena rap. La musica ed il suo potere aggregativo e la capacità creare identità. Questo lavoro nasce da una mia passione per la musica rap come fonte artistica e come mezzo di unione dei gruppi giovanili, si parlerà dell'importanza che la musica rap sta avendo, di come è diventato il genere più ascoltato e mainstream ma anche di alcune problematiche che possono insorgere come l'emulazione di alcuni giovani, le problematiche sociali dell'intero genere musicale e il controllo che le case discografiche hanno sui cantanti, influenzando le scelte artistiche, il personaggio e talvolta anche la persona.

In this thesis, the aim is to delve into the concept of music, tracing its evolution from historical origins, through mythological contexts, to its contemporary significance. Drawing insights from various seminal works on the subject of music, I will examine its meaning and impact on youth, with a particular focus on the subculture of hip hop. This analysis will encompass its genesis and subsequent developments, paying special attention to the rap scene. The study will explore the unifying power of music and its ability to forge identities. This work stems from my profound passion for rap music, both as an artistic expression and as a medium for youth cohesion. The discussion will highlight the growing importance of rap music, its ascent to mainstream popularity, and the accompanying challenges. These challenges include the potential for youth to emulate certain behaviors, the broader social issues within the genre, and the influence of record labels over artists, shaping their artistic choices, public personas, and sometimes even their personal lives.
