| it_IT |
dc.description.abstract | Upon watching an official video about a fictional streamer presenting a Pocket Monster from the upcoming “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet”', I started wondering how the communication strategies of the Pokémon franchise have evolved from 1996 until today.
I then turned the fateful question into the subject of this research; my goal was to verify Pokémon’s degree of communicative evolution, along with how its strategies have been changing over time and how they contributed to the success of the brand’s most important video games.
Accordingly, I took each individual Pokémon generation, and gathered information about the content of Pokémon games; I then watched trailers, commercials and teasers, and identified their characteristics.
I eventually exemplified some of Pokémon’s marketing strategies for its side projects.
Despite its now standardized game content, the brand has been able to adapt to social and media progress, moving from simple advertisements to increasingly creative methods to present new content.
Sure, Pokémon as a name is often a guarantee, but the expectation the team manages to build with promotions, especially in recent generations, has certainly aroused the interest of old and new fans. | en_UK |
