Abstract

La tragica storia d'amore, nel XIV secolo, tra il delfino al trono portoghese, Dom Pedro, e una delle damigelle della sua consorte, Ines de Castro, che ha saputo affascinare ed influenzare generazioni di poeti, scrittore e storici. Tra cambiamenti sociali, l'eterna rivalità con la corona di Castiglia, e la fine ormai prossima dell'epoca medievale si staglia questo "archetipo" dell'amore impossibile.

The tragic love story, in the 14th century, between the Portuguese dauphin, Dom Pedro, and one of the bridesmaids of his wife, Ines de Castro, who was able to fascinate and influence generations of poets, writers and historians. Between social changes, the eternal rivalry with the crown of Castile, and the imminent end of the medieval era stands this "archetype" of impossible love.
