Outdoor education: creare le fondamenta dell'apprendimento attraverso una pratica inclusiva.

Abstract

L’elaborato affronta la tematica dell’Outdoor Education rispetto alla qualità di vita infantile, analizzando le origini e il suo sviluppo in un’ottica che pone il bambino come attore protagonista e attivo. Tramite un metodo di ricerca bibliografico, questa tesi analizza dal punto di vista teorico le origini e i benefici relazionali e psico-fisici, le opportunità, i materiali e gli spazi adeguati e rispettosi dell’ambiente e dei bisogni di chi ne usufruisce, ponendo l’accento sul concetto di rischio e sull’importanza della scoperta e della curiosità nelle fasi di sviluppo dei bambini. Analizzando la dimensione pratica, invece, si focalizza sull’importanza della figura dell’adulto e quindi delle educatrici e educatori nel rapporto con la famiglia, concentrandosi sul tema dell’inclusione. Infine, partendo dall’esperienza personale, si incontrano e conoscono alcuni esempi di forme di asilo nel bosco o scuole d’infanzia che hanno fatto dell’Outdoor Education la base su cui strutturare il progetto educativo. L’obiettivo su cui si basa lo studio, è quello di indagare rispetto all’educazione Outdoor, sia per comprenderne i vantaggi che può apportare soprattutto nello sviluppo infantile, sia per aprire gli occhi e la mente ad una nuova visione dei servizi formativi che ormai sempre maggiormente si sta sviluppando sul territorio italiano, allontanando gli stereotipi legati alla protezione e al controllo dei bambini, ritenuti sempre più spesso incapaci di comprendere le situazioni e dimenticando che sono soggetti attivi nella società e rappresentano il futuro su cui la stessa deve basarsi.

The thesis addresses the topic of Outdoor Education with respect to children's quality of life, analyzing its origins and development from a perspective that places the child as a protagonist and active actor. Through a bibliographical research method, this thesis analyzes from a theoretical point of view the origins and relational and psycho-physical benefits, opportunities, materials and spaces that are appropriate and respectful of the environment and the needs of those who use them, emphasizing the concept of risk and the importance of discovery and curiosity in children's developmental stages. Analyzing the practical dimension, on the other hand, it focuses on the importance of the figure of the adult and thus of educators in the relationship with the family, focusing on the theme of inclusion. Finally, starting from personal experience, they meet and get to know some examples of forms of kindergartens in the woods or preschools that have made Outdoor Education the basis on which to structure the educational project. The objective on which the study is based, is to investigate with respect to Outdoor Education, both to understand its benefits that it can bring especially in child development, and to open our eyes and minds to a new vision of educational services that is now increasingly developing on the Italian territory, moving away from the stereotypes related to the protection and control of children, who are increasingly considered incapable of understanding situations and forgetting that they are active subjects in society and represent the future on which the same must be based.
