Abstract

Questa tesi esamina il ruolo del Presidente della Repubblica italiana, analizzando le fasi tecniche del suo mandato, come l'elezione e l'assunzione dei poteri, e esplorando le sue funzioni costituzionali all'interno del contesto politico italiano e internazionale. Si approfondisce la figura dell'attuale Presidente, Sergio Mattarella, partendo dal suo contesto socio-politico giovanile fino ai momenti salienti della sua carriera che lo hanno portato al suo attuale incarico. La tesi esamina il suo ruolo politico dalla prima elezione fino al suo secondo mandato, nel complicato panorama politico italiano, evidenziando i punti chiave della sua lunga carriera. Infine, si analizza il presente contesto politico in cui il ruolo del Presidente Mattarella emerge come fondamentale.

This thesis explores the role of the President of the Italian Republic, first examining the technical phases of the mandate, such as the election and assumption of powers, and then analyzing the constitutional functions within the Italian and international political context. Understanding the figure of the President requires an in-depth look at the powers and functions, not only within Italy but also on an international level. Furthermore, the thesis highlights the current President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, starting from the socio-political context of his youth and tracing the significant events of his journey to his current role. The analysis delves into his political role from his first election to his second term in the complex Italian political landscape, shedding light on the most important points of his lengthy career. Therefore, a focus on the present political scenario is necessary, highlighting the important role of President Sergio Mattarella within the current political landscape.
