Confine. Territori e architetture del vino

Abstract

Il Laboratorio si incentrava sullo sviluppo di Cascina Amalia trattando le tematiche della riorganizzazione degli spazi e sull’ampliamento della struttura, con l’intento di restituire una certa importanza agli ambienti principali per i visitatori, come il caveau e la sala degustazione. Finora, il progetto presentato si era focalizzato sulla riorganizzazione degli spazi secondo le esigenze della produzione del vino, concentrandosi anche sui due ambienti principali.

Oggi, il progetto di tesi mira a migliorare e arricchire quanto già realizzato, conservando i concetti più validi e distintivi. Tra questi permane l’idea della sala degustazione dalla pianta circolare, disposta in quota inferiore, consentendo agli ospiti di immergersi nel paesaggio circostante durante la degustazione dei vini di Cascina Amalia.

Il recente progetto di rinnovamento, sviluppato per la tesi, non si limita solo a ripensare la sala degustazione e il punto vendita, ma punta alla progettazione di un nuovo ambiente polifunzionale autonomo rispetto alla produzione del vino, focalizzato sull’accoglienza degli ospiti, offrirà nuove funzioni. Il nuovo ambiente polifunzionale viene definito cosi grazie a degli arredi mobili, che modificano lo spazio passando da un’area espositiva a ambienti più chiusi, ad esempio per conferenze o proiezioni.

Il nuovo approccio innovativo è orientato all’ospitalità. Cascina Amalia offre l’opportunità ai visitatori di partecipare a incontri e congressi non solo sul vino, ma anche sull’arte, che rimane uno dei caratteri distintivi di Cascina Amalia, tramite esposizioni, conferenze e proiezioni. Senza tralasciare la tematica dell’apertura della vista sulle Langhe, dove si vuole amplificare la sensazione di connessione tra l’interno della cantina e la bellezza circostante, donando una nuova veduta.

The Laboratory focused on the development of Cascina Amalia by dealing with the issues of reorganizing the spaces and expanding the structure, with the aim of restoring a certain importance to the main areas for visitors, such as the vault and the tasting room. Until now, the project presented had focused on the reorganization of the spaces according to the needs of wine production, also focusing on the two main environments.

Today, the thesis project aims to improve and enrich what has already been achieved, preserving the most valid and distinctive concepts. Among these, the idea of ​​the tasting room with a circular plan remains, arranged at a lower level, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the surrounding landscape while tasting Cascina Amalia wines.

The recent renovation project, developed for the thesis, is not limited only to rethinking the tasting room and the point of sale, but aims at the design of a new multifunctional environment independent from the production of wine, focused on welcoming guests, will offer new functions. The new multifunctional environment is defined in this way thanks to movable furnishings, which modify the space from an exhibition area to more closed environments, for example for conferences or projections.

The new innovative approach is oriented towards hospitality. Cascina Amalia offers visitors the opportunity to participate in meetings and conferences not only on wine, but also on art, which remains one of the distinctive characteristics of Cascina Amalia, through exhibitions, conferences and screenings. Without neglecting the theme of opening up the view of the Langhe, where we want to amplify the feeling of connection between the inside of the cellar and the surrounding beauty, giving a new view.
