Teoria dell'attaccamento e adozione

Abstract

L’obiettivo principale della tesi è analizzare la relazione tra adozione e legame di attaccamento. L’elaborato parte da una sintesi delle principali teorie che hanno contribuito alla definizione del concetto di attaccamento e descrive alcune delle principali metodologie standardizzate che sono state sviluppate per la sua valutazione. Successivamente viene affrontato il tema dell’adozione, attraverso la descrizione delle principali forme di adozione e dell’iter burocratico e delle normative che la regolano. Infine, si affronta la relazione tra adozione e attaccamento analizzando, attraverso l’analisi della letteratura scientifica, alcuni dei principali fattori che influenzano questa relazione, in particolare età del bambino al momento dell’adozione, presenza di deprivazione sociale e abusi e/o maltrattamenti nel periodo preadottivo e stile di attaccamento dei genitori adottivi. Viene quindi discussa l’influenza che questi fattori esercitano all’interno della formazione e della qualità dello stile di attaccamento del bambino adottato nei confronti dei propri genitori adottivi. Le conclusioni si focalizzano sulla funzione riparativa che l’adozione può svolgere per il bambino adottato.

The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the relationship between adoption and attachment. The paper begins with a synthesis of the main theories that have contributed to defining the concept of attachment and describes some of the main standardized methodologies that have been developed for its assessment. Subsequently, the theme of adoption is addressed by describing the main forms of adoption and the bureaucratic process and regulations that govern it. Finally, the relationship between adoption and attachment is examined by analyzing, through a review of the scientific literature, some of the main factors that influence this relationship. These factors include the child's age at the time of adoption, the presence of social deprivation, and abuse or maltreatment in the pre-adoptive period, as well as the attachment style of adoptive parents. The paper then discusses the influence that these factors exert on the formation and quality of the adopted child's attachment style towards their adoptive parents. The conclusions focus on the reparative function that adoption can have for the adopted child.
