Dipendenze

Abstract

La società contemporanea si trova di fronte a una complessa rete di sfide connesse alle diverse manifestazioni delle dipendenze, rappresentando un fenomeno intricato che attraversa le vite di individui, famiglie e comunità. L’ampio spettro delle dipendenze, che include sia quelle tradizionalmente legate all’abuso di sostanze, sia le più recenti forme di dipendenza, richiede un approccio multidisciplinare e integrato per affrontare efficacemente la loro crescente incidenza. Diventa quindi molto importante il ruolo che assume il servizio sociale e le varie attività preventive che possono mitigare l'impatto di questo fenomeno. A tal fine, il presente elaborato presenta dapprima un approfondimento teorico sulle dipendenze e su alcune tipologie di sostanze che oggi vengono principalmente utilizzate, ponendo successivamente l'attenzione sull'impatto che le dipendenze hanno sul comportamento dell'individuo all'interno della società. Per concludere, si sottolinea il ruolo che il servizio sociale ricopre in ottica di prevenzione e di sostegno al fenomeno delle dipendenze.

Contemporary society faces a complex network of challenges related to the various manifestations of addictions, representing an intricate phenomenon that cuts across the lives of individuals, families, and communities. The broad spectrum of addictions, including both those traditionally related to substance abuse and newer forms of addiction, requires a multidisciplinary and integrated approach to effectively face their growing incidence. Therefore, the role that social service takes on and the various preventive activities that can mitigate the impact of this phenomenon becomes very important. To this end, this paper first presents an in-depth theoretical discussion of addictions and some of the types of substances that are mainly used today, subsequently focusing on the impact that addictions have on an individual's behavior within society. In conclusion, the role that social service plays in preventing and supporting the phenomenon of addiction is emphasized.
