Attaccamento e regolazione psico-fisiologica nel sistema diadico genitore-bambino

Abstract

L’obiettivo del presente elaborato è quello di analizzare le relazioni che si intessono tra i costrutti di attaccamento, reattività fisiologica e regolazione emotiva. Si sancisce l’importanza del legame di attaccamento in quanto elemento fondante per lo sviluppo di future capacità regolatorie. Più particolarmente, il primo capitolo provvede a fornire un inquadramento teorico dell’attaccamento e delle condizioni che determinano lo sviluppo di differenze individuali, per poi evidenziare come esse siano correlate alla costruzione di capacità di regolazione emotiva. Il secondo capitolo enuclea le principali misure utilizzate per lo studio della reattività fisiologica. Inoltre, si ribadisce la funzione regolatoria di quest’ultima e si analizzano le relazioni emerse in letteratura tra reattività fisiologica e regolazione emotiva. Da ultimo, il terzo capitolo è volto a rendere conto, attraverso un approfondito studio della letteratura, di come differenze individuali nell’attaccamento possano influenzare la reattività del sistema nervoso autonomo, andando a costituire dei pattern di attivazione ricorrenti.

The aim of the present work is to analyze the different relations that exist between attachment, physiological reactivity and emotion regulation. The importance of attachment is established as a foundation for the development of future regulatory abilities. More specifically, the first chapter provides a theoretical framework for attachment and for the conditions that enhance the development of attachment-related individual differences. The chapter follows pointing out the existing links between these individual differences and the development of emotion regulation abilities. The second chapter enucleates the principal measures utilized within the study of physiological reactivity. Furthermore, the chapter emphasizes the importance of the latter as a regulatory function and analyzes the relations between physiological reactivity and emotion regulation. Lastly, the third chapter focuses on how individual attachment-related differences can influence the reactivity of the autonomous nervous system, resulting in systemic patterns of physiological reactivity. This analysis is achieved throughout an accurate study of the available literature.
