Abstract

Il primo capitolo affronta la questione del genere, partendo dalla nascita del concetto fino ad arrivare agli stereotipi di genere che sono fortemente condizionanti per noi e per la società. Il secondo capitolo approfondisce gli stereotipi di genere nella storia, quindi riportando alcune rappresentazioni sociali che associano caratteristiche e comportamenti a uomini e donne. Il terzo capitolo è un excursus storico della donna nel mondo del lavoro, partendo dalla preistoria si ripercorre l’evoluzione storica del lavoro femminile. Il quarto e ultimo capitolo racconta delle condizioni lavorative delle donne, evidenziando le principali sfide che il genere femminile deve affrontare nel mercato del lavoro.

The first chapter deals with the issue of gender, starting from the birth of the concept up to gender stereotypes that are strongly conditioning for us and for society. The second chapter delves into gender stereotypes in history, then reports some social representations that associate characteristics and behaviors with men and women. The third chapter is a historical excursus of women in the world of work, starting from prehistory we retrace the historical evolution of women's work. The fourth and final chapter tells about women's working conditions, highlighting the main challenges that the female gender faces in the labour market.
