L'affaticamento da notizia e l'A/B test. Aspetti del giornalismo tra Italia e America nell'ultimo ventennio

Abstract

Il lavoro di tesi nasce dalla volontà di selezionare e approfondire alcuni aspetti caratterizzanti il giornalismo negli ultimi Venti anni tra Italia e Stati Uniti, nonché l'impatto che gli stessi hanno avuto sul lettore. A questo proposito saranno analizzati, con particolare attenzione, l'affaticamento da notizia e l'A/B test. Verrà affrontato il caso studio di BuzzFeed, gli algoritmi dell'intelligenza artificiale, le fake news, Umberto Eco e molti altri temi. L'obbiettivo è quello di inquadrare in un modo più eterogeneo possibile lo scenario creato grazie all'innovazione tecnologica, dove il numero delle emittenti e dei messaggi è aumentato a tal punto da poter parlare, ad oggi, di una situazione di abbondanza. A supporto degli argomenti trattati saranno utilizzati sia diversi studi che interviste inedite ai giornalisti Andrea Pomati e Alberto Gedda. La grafica di conclusione della tesi sarà anch'essa inedita, con l'obbiettivo di restituire in forma visiva i nodi concettuali di quanto in essa trattato.

This thesis work stems from the desire to select and investigate some aspects characterizing journalism in the last 20 years between Italy and the United States, as well as the impact they have had on the reader. In this regard, news fatigue and A/B testing will be analyzed with particular attention. The case study of BuzzFeed, artificial intelligence algorithms, fake news, Umberto Eco and many other topics will be addressed. The goal is to frame in as heterogeneous a way as possible the scenario created thanks to technological innovation, where the number of broadcasters and messages has increased to such an extent that we can speak, as of today, of a situation of abundance. Both various studies and unpublished interviews with journalists Andrea Pomati and Alberto Gedda will be used to support the topics discussed. The graphics concluding the thesis will also be unpublished, with the aim of returning in visual form the conceptual nodes of what is discussed in it.
