Matti da slegare: una storia del novecento. Nascita e sviluppo della psichiatria radicale nell'Italia repubblica, 1946-1978

Abstract

La tesi riguarda la storia della psichiatria: nel primo capitolo tratta l'evoluzione e le caratteriste della psichiatria nel primo novecento, nel secondo capitolo viene dato il contesto storico dell'Italia dal 1945 al 1980 in modo da inserire contestualmente l'argomento del terzo capitolo - la rivoluzione psichiatrica. In particolare modo nel terzo capitolo si cerca di evidenziare e sottolineare quattro aspetti dell'argomento: la connessione tra movimento anti-psichiatrico e la stagione di contestazione degli anni 60 e 70, la pluralità del movimento anti-manicomiale, l'uso e l'influenza dei nuovi mezzi di comunicazione di massa (televisione...) e i miti nonché i problemi riguardanti la legge 180 del 1978.

The thesis concerns the history of psychiatry: in the first chapter it deals with the evolution and characteristics of psychiatry in the early twentieth century, in the second chapter the historical context of Italy from 1945 to 1980 is given in order to contextually insert the topic of the third chapter - the psychiatric revolution. In particular, in the third chapter we try to highlight and underline four aspects of the topic: the connection between the anti-psychiatric movement and the period of protest of the 60s and 70s, the plurality of the anti-asylum movement, the use and influence of the new mass media (television...) and the myths as well as the problems regarding law 180 of 1978
