Traduzione della pièce "Kiwi" di Daniel Danis

Abstract

La presente tesi si inserisce nell’ambito della traduzione plurisemiotica, di cui la traduzione teatrale fa parte. Infatti, l’elaborato consiste in una traduzione dal francese all’italiano della pièce “Kiwi” del drammaturgo canadese Daniel Danis, seguita da un commento traduttologico, che si propone di presentare il testo di partenza e il metodo e le tecniche impiegati nel processo di traduzione. L’obiettivo del presente lavoro consiste nella realizzazione di una traduzione in un italiano scorrevole e naturale, che sia equivalente all’originale: una traduzione che trasmetta ai lettori le stesse informazioni del testo di partenza e che rispetti le varietà linguistiche impiegate dall’autore. Tuttavia, anche in un’opera breve e di carattere non specialistico come “Kiwi”, è possibile riscontrare ostacoli e sfide di traduzione: nel commento ho potuto dimostrare che le scelte adottate sono motivate e il frutto di attenti ragionamenti.

This thesis is part of the plurisemiotical translation domain because it's about the theatrical translation. In fact, the thesis consists of a translation from French into Italian of the play "Kiwi" by the Canadian playwright Daniel Danis, followed by a translation commentary, which aims to present the source text and the method and techniques used in the process of translation. The objective of this work is to create a translation into fluent and natural Italian, which is equivalent to the original: a translation which transmits to readers the same information as the source text, and which respects the linguistic varieties used by the author. However, even in a short and non-specialist play like "Kiwi", it is possible to encounter translation obstacles and challenges: in the commentary I was able to demonstrate that the choices adopted are motivated and the result of careful reasoning.
