GUERRA IN UCRAINA: CAUSE, SVILUPPO DEL CONFLITTO E CONSEGUENZE INTERNAZIONALI

Abstract

Il presente elaborato è stato redatto tramite molteplici ricerche che mi hanno permesso di determinare le cause, lo sviluppo e le conseguenze internazionali che sono scaturite tramite il conflitto russo-ucraino. Inoltre ho potuto approfondire le relative dinamiche diplomatiche intraprese dalle due parti, analizzando gli eventi principali che sono scaturiti in un vero e proprio conflitto nel continente europeo, come il possibile ingresso dello stato ucraino nell’Unione Europea e nella Nato che sfociò nelle diverse manifestazioni violente provocate da una mentalità nuova del popolo ucraino; inoltre, gli sviluppi militari delle parti coinvolte che mi hanno permesso di comprendere le varie fasi del conflitto, sia a livello militare interno, sia a livello economico ed esterno. Ho affrontato in particolare il tema della guerriglia nell’ovest dell’Ucraina, esplicando quali siano le ragioni che hanno fatto diventare queste zone la polveriera da cui poi è scoppiato il conflitto. Inoltre, quali aree siano importanti per le due parti belligeranti per via delle risorse presenti sul territorio che hanno avuto e che hanno ancora un ruolo centrale nella guerra in atto. Attraverso le dichiarazioni rilasciate dai diversi rappresentati dei paesi di tutto il mondo emerge chiaramente quale siano gli schieramenti. Ho trovato particolarmente significativo, ai fini della comprensione del conflitto, spiegare quali siano o potrebbero essere le varie alleanze allo interno della comunità internazionale, dalle quali si è potuto dedurre le grandi differenze tra i paesi occidentali e asiatici nel globo. Lo sviluppo del conflitto ha avuto un ruolo di risalto nella mia tesi, perché mi ha permesso di spiegare le tensioni a livello territoriale per quanto riguardano i confini con la Nato ma ho anche potuto mettere in evidenza quelle che poi sono effettivamente state le richieste nei negoziati da parte della federazione russa.

This paper was drawn up through multiple researches that allowed me to determine the causes, development and international consequences that arose through the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Furthermore, I was able to delve deeper into the relative diplomatic dynamics undertaken by the two parties, analyzing the main events that resulted in a real conflict on the European continent, such as the possible entry of the Ukrainian state into the European Union and NATO which resulted in various violent demonstrations caused by a new mentality of the Ukrainian people; furthermore, the military developments of the parties involved which allowed me to understand the various phases of the conflict, both at an internal military level and at an economic and external level. I addressed in particular the topic of guerrilla warfare in western Ukraine, explaining the reasons that made these areas become the powder keg from which the conflict then broke out. Furthermore, which areas are important for the two warring parties due to the resources present in the territory that have had and still have a central role in the ongoing war. Through the statements released by the various representatives of countries around the world, it is clear what the sides are. I found it particularly significant, for the purposes of understanding the conflict, to explain what the various alliances within the international community are or could be, from which it was possible to deduce the great differences between Western and Asian countries around the globe. The development of the conflict had a prominent role in my thesis, because it allowed me to explain the tensions at a territorial level regarding the borders with NATO but I was also able to highlight what were actually the requests in the negotiations by the Russian Federation.
