Il problema dell'empatia.

Abstract

Questa tesi si focalizza sul problema dell'empatia, esaminando il ruolo dell'empatia nel contesto dell'educazione e analizzando alcune voci femminili del Novecento che hanno contribuito alla comprensione di questo fenomeno. L'obiettivo è esplorare le sfaccettature dell'empatia e fornire una prospettiva critica sul suo utilizzo come risorsa per gli educatori. Il primo capitolo si concentra sull'empatia come ponte, partendo dall'opera di Edith Stein. Vengono esplorate le teorie di Stein sull'empatia come mezzo di connessione tra soggetti, fornendo un'analisi approfondita del suo concetto di "comprendere l'altro". Si mette in luce il ruolo dell'empatia come strumento per superare le barriere comunicative e per sviluppare una maggiore comprensione reciproca. Il secondo capitolo esamina le voci femminili del Novecento che hanno affrontato il tema dell'empatia. Attraverso l'analisi dei contributi di Simone Weil, Maria Zambrano e Hannah Arendt, si esplora l'importanza dell'empatia nel contesto sociale e filosofico. Il terzo capitolo si concentra sull'empatia come risorsa nei contesti educativi. Si esaminano le strategie e le pratiche che gli educatori possono adottare per sviluppare l'empatia nei loro studenti, promuovendo la consapevolezza delle emozioni, la capacità di ascolto empatico e la creazione di un ambiente di apprendimento inclusivo. Attraverso l'analisi delle voci femminili del Novecento e l'esplorazione critica del problema dell'empatia, questa tesi si propone di approfondire la comprensione di questo concetto nel contesto educativo.

This thesis focuses on the problem of empathy, examining the role of empathy in the context of education and analyzing some female voices of the twentieth century who contributed to the understanding of this phenomenon. The goal is to explore the facets of empathy and provide a critical perspective on its use as a resource for educators. The first chapter focuses on empathy as a bridge, starting from the work of Edith Stein. Stein's theories on empathy as a means of connection between subjects are explored, providing an in-depth analysis of his concept of "understanding the other". The role of empathy as a tool to overcome communication barriers and to develop greater mutual understanding is highlighted. The second chapter examines the female voices of the twentieth century who addressed the theme of empathy. Through the analysis of the contributions of Simone Weil, Maria Zambrano and Hannah Arendt, the importance of empathy in the social and philosophical context is explored. The third chapter focuses on empathy as a resource in educational contexts. We examine strategies and practices that educators can adopt to develop empathy in their students, promoting awareness of emotions, the ability to listen empathically and creating an inclusive learning environment. Through the analysis of twentieth-century female voices and the critical exploration of the problem of empathy, this thesis aims to deepen the understanding of this concept in the educational context.
