| it_IT |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis analyses the True Crime podcast as a form of narrative and communication, with the aim of identifying the elements that contribute to the construction of an effective and recognisable format. The research begins by examining podcasting as a medium, focusing on its narrative and communicative characteristics, its evolution in the platform era, and the ways in which the relationship between creators and audiences contributes to the listening experience. The study then explores storytelling and the narrative tools used to construct an audio story, before focusing on the True Crime genre and the responsibilities involved in narrating real events. The case study selected is Elisa True Crime, analysed through an interview with its creator, Elisa De Marco, and producer Edoardo Coniglio. Their testimonies make it possible to reconstruct the main creative and production stages underlying the format, from research and source organisation to narrative construction, as well as the role of voice, editing, and the relationship with the community. The research concludes with an applied experiment based on the Novi Ligure case, used to reconstruct an episode according to the elements identified through the analysis of the format. Through the deconstruction of the original episode, scriptwriting, recording, and editing, the project qualitatively examines the role of pacing, information management, suspense, voice, and sound identity in the construction of the narrative. The experiment therefore connects the theoretical and practical dimensions of the research, presenting the podcast not simply as a finished product, but as the result of multiple narrative, technical, and communicative choices. | en_UK |
