| it_IT |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis analyzes the relationship between psychological well-being and workplace safety, focusing on the role of safety climate and psychological safety in organizational contexts. The aim is to show that safety does not depend only on rules, procedures, and technical tools, but also on shared perceptions, interpersonal relationships, leadership, and the possibility of openly communicating risks and errors.
The first chapter examines workplace safety and safety climate, understood as the shared perception of the priority given to safety by the organization. The second chapter analyzes psychological safety, namely the perceived possibility of speaking up, asking for help, and reporting problems without fear of negative consequences. The third chapter connects the two constructs, highlighting their complementarity.
The literature shows that a positive safety climate promotes safe behaviors, safety compliance, safety participation, and safety performance. However, for safety to become truly participatory, workers must also feel psychologically safe when discussing risks, incidents, and near misses. In this sense, psychological safety can support safety voice and reduce under-reporting. The thesis therefore supports a broad view of workplace safety, extending it to psychological well-being and psychosocial risks. | en_UK |
