INTEGRARE OUTDOOR EDUCATION E METODO SCOUT NELLA CLASSE DI ITALIANO L2 : strategie didattiche per studenti adolescenti

Abstract

La presente tesi propone una riflessione teorico-progettuale sull’integrazione tra didattica dell’italiano L2, metodo scout e Outdoor Education. Il lavoro nasce dall’osservazione di alcune affinità tra scautismo e glottodidattica, in particolare rispetto all’apprendimento attraverso il fare, alla cooperazione tra pari, all’autonomia progressiva e al valore educativo dell’esperienza.

Dopo aver analizzato il profilo dell’apprendente adolescente e la cornice pedagogica dell’educazione all’aperto, la tesi mette in relazione alcuni strumenti scout — come la squadriglia, l’impresa, il sentiero e la vita all’aperto — con principi della didattica linguistica contemporanea, tra cui l’approccio orientato all’azione, il Task-Based Language Teaching, lo scaffolding e il Portfolio europeo delle lingue.

La parte finale presenta una proposta di Unità Didattica di Apprendimento outdoor per una classe di italiano L2, centrata sulla scoperta del quartiere e sulla realizzazione di una guida di sopravvivenza urbana per nuovi cittadini. La proposta non costituisce una sperimentazione già svolta, ma un modello progettuale applicabile e verificabile in futuro.

This thesis offers a theoretical and project-based reflection on the integration of Italian as a second language teaching, the Scout method and Outdoor Education. The work stems from the observation of several similarities between Scouting and language education, especially with regard to learning by doing, peer cooperation, progressive autonomy and the educational value of experience.

After analysing the profile of adolescent learners and the pedagogical framework of Outdoor Education, the thesis relates some Scout tools — such as the patrol, the enterprise, the personal path and outdoor life — to key principles of contemporary language teaching, including the action-oriented approach, Task-Based Language Teaching, scaffolding and the European Language Portfolio.

The final part presents a proposal for an outdoor Learning Unit for an Italian L2 class, focused on discovering the neighbourhood and creating an urban survival guide for new citizens. The proposal is not an experimental study already carried out, but a project-based model that could be applied and tested in the future.
