Fiducia politica e sviluppo economico nelle regioni Europee

Abstract

In questa tesi si indaga il legame che intercorre tra la fiducia politica, fiducia sociale e sviluppo economico nelle varie regioni europee. L’elaborato è suddiviso in 3 capitoli. Nel primo capitolo viene delineato un quadro teorico di riferimento analizzando la letteratura sul rapporto tra istituzioni e crescita regionale. Nel secondo capitolo viene condotta un’analisi empirica su 208 regioni europee, vengono utilizzati i database ESS, EQI ed Eurostat. Attraverso l’analisi dei dati si cercherà di indagare le profonde divergenze presenti nel territorio Europeo. Nel terzo capitolo si esamina l’impatto della pandemia COVID-19 analizzando l’evoluzione della fiducia politica giovanile (18-35 anni) in Italia, Francia, Spagna e Germania.

This thesis investigates the link between political trust, social trust, and economic development across various European regions. The dissertation is structured into three chapters. The first chapter outlines a theoretical framework by analyzing the literature on the relationship between institutions and regional growth. The second chapter conducts an empirical analysis on 208 European regions, utilizing the ESS, EQI, and Eurostat databases. Through data analysis, the study aims to investigate the profound divergences present across the European territory. Finally, the third chapter examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by analyzing the evolution of youth political trust (18-35 years old) in Italy, France, Spain, and Germany.
