Il sarzanese come dialetto di crocevia: saggio fonetico

Abstract

Questa tesi si propone di analizzare il dialetto di Sarzana nelle sue caratteristiche di varietà linguistica di crocevia, al confine tra Liguria, Toscana ed Emilia. La peculiarità del sarzanese era già stata evidenziata da Forner, che lo colloca a est del cinqueterrino, e dunque al di fuori dei confini dell’area linguistica ligure. Tuttavia, analizzare il sarzanese in relazione al ligure non risulta sufficiente, bensì occorre riconsiderarne il quadro anche attraverso il confronto con i dialetti toscani settentrionali ed emiliani occidentali. Obiettivo principale di questo lavoro è, attraverso un’analisi storica e linguistica, collocare il sarzanese all’interno del complesso quadro dei dialetti lunigianesi, mettendo in luce differenze e punti di contatto con le varietà limitrofe, e tracciandone l’evoluzione nel periodo che va dagli inizi del Novecento ai giorni nostri.

This thesis aims to analyze the dialect of Sarzana and its characteristics as a crossroads linguistic variety, on the border between Liguria, Tuscany, and Emilia. The distinctiveness of the dialect of Sarzana had already been highlighted by Forner, who placed it east of Cinque Terre, and therefore outside the confines of the Ligurian linguistic area. However, analyzing the dialect of Sarzana in relation to Ligurian is not sufficient; rather, it is necessary to reconsider its context, also through comparison with the dialects of Northern Tuscany and Western Emilia. The main objective of this work is, through a historical and linguistic analysis, to place the dialect of Sarzana within the complex structure of the dialects of Lunigiana, highlighting differences and points of contact with neighboring varieties, and tracing its evolution over the period from the early twentieth century to the present day.
