Infanzia negata e tradita nel rock.

Abstract

Obiettivo di questa tesi è mettere in evidenza le difficoltà che alcuni bambini e ragazzi vivono quando viene loro negata la possibilità di avere un’infanzia sana e serena. Due sono i punti di vista utilizzati, da una parte quello del Rock, del Punk, del Grunge e del Metal che urlano quel dolore che bambini e ragazzi non riescono ad urlare; dall’altra parte quello dei silent book che ridanno, invece, equilibrio all’infanzia attraverso immagini che, grazie alla loro autrice Suzy Lee, diventano poesia. I temi affrontati e analizzati sono quelli della guerra, della devianza giovanile, della solitudine, della povertà educativa ed affettiva e della difficoltà che ha spesso la scuola a far fronte alle vecchie e nuove esigenze dei bambini e dei ragazzi. Ad ogni brano musicale, che da solo denuncia uno dei temi affrontati, è abbinato un silent book che vuole riscattare il male denunciato, che apre uno spiraglio verso il bene e il giusto. Brani e silent book sono seguiti da analisi critiche che ne sottolineano l’impatto fortemente pedagogico; le citazioni, fondamentali per avallare le tesi discusse, sono di autori che hanno messo e stanno mettendo mattoni importanti nella storia della pedagogia e della psicologia dell’età evolutiva. A conclusione di ogni capitolo sono stati posti dati statistici che confermano la tragicità delle situazioni a cui alcune infanzie sono sottoposte.

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the difficulties that some children and adolescents experience when they are denied the opportunity to have a healthy and serene childhood. Two perspectives are used: on one side, that of Rock, Punk, Grunge, and Metal music, which scream out the pain that children and teenagers are unable to express; on the other side, that of silent books, which restore balance to childhood through images that, thanks to their author Suzy Lee, become poetry. The themes addressed and analyzed include war, juvenile delinquency, loneliness, educational and emotional poverty, and the often difficulty role of schools in meeting the old and new needs of children and adolescents. For each musical piece, which alone highlights one of the discussed themes, there is a corresponding silent book that aims to redeem the evil denounced, opening a window toward goodness and justice. Songs and silent books are followed by critical analyses that emphasize their strong pedagogical impact; the quotations, essential to support the discussed theses, are from authors who have contributed significantly to the history of pedagogy and developmental psychology. At the end of each chapter, statistical data are presented to confirm the tragic situations faced by some children.
