L'arte e lo sport nell'educazione del nuovo millennio.

Abstract

Tutti dovrebbero avere un'esperienza continuativa di arte e sport, per una sana educazione che possa mirare a qualsiasi obiettivo di crescita. Da questa riflessione nasce la tesi che state leggendo. Non perché crediamo nella superiorità delle discipline sportive o artistiche rispetto ad altre occupazioni della vita (anzi, l'obiettivo della tesi, come verrà ribadito più volte, è quello di inserire una proposta semplice in un contesto già brulicante di realtà educative di ogni tipo). Né perché vogliamo che persone e giovani diventino improvvisamente perfetti artisti professionisti o atleti agonisti (anzi, anche in questo caso). Né, a dire il vero, perché vogliamo sostenere la formazione di individui che abbiano capacità di ogni tipo (dal salto alla pennellata, dal tiro al do a petto) e che sappiano come dimostrarle a seconda della situazione. Il desiderio di unire arte e sport è da ricercare, invece, nell'esperienza pluridecennale che il sottoscritto (certamente così come tante altre persone sulla terra) ha maturato in questo senso. La bellezza di immergersi totalmente in questi due mondi, così distanti, ma anche così straordinariamente vicini, suscita nell'essere umano sensazioni così elevate che di essi si è già detto, scritto ed elogiato, in ogni modo, linguaggio e punto di vista. Restringiamo quindi e specifichiamo il campo d'intervento esaminato: la ricerca di connessioni tra arte e sport e le conseguenti opportunità che essi offrono per creare proposte educative volte alla crescita personale e collettiva. Arte e sport, in questo contesto, saranno quindi visti come un mezzo per raggiungere un obiettivo più alto: l'evoluzione fisica, mentale e spirituale dell'essere umano.

Everyone should have a continuous experience of art and sports, for a healthy education that can aim at any growth objective. From this reflection comes the thesis you are reading. Not because we believe in the superiority of sports or artistic disciplines compared to other occupations in life (indeed, the aim of the thesis, as will be reiterated several times, is to insert a simple proposal in a context already teeming with educational realities of all kinds). Nor because we want people and young people to suddenly become perfect professional artists or competitive athletes (indeed, even in this case). Nor, to tell the truth, because we want to support the training of individuals who have abilities of all kinds (from jumping to brush strokes, from shooting to chest dos) and who know how to demonstrate them depending on the situation. The desire to unite art and sports is to be found, instead, in the decades-long experience that the undersigned (certainly as well as many other people on earth) has gained in this sense. The beauty of immersing oneself totally in these two worlds, so distant, but also so extraordinarily close, arouses in the human being such elevated sensations that they have already been said, written and praised, in every way, language and point of view. We therefore narrow down and specify the field of intervention examined: the search for connections between art and sport and the consequent opportunities that they offer to create educational proposals aimed at personal and collective growth. Art and sport, in this context, will therefore be seen as a means to achieve a higher goal: the physical, mental and spiritual evolution of the human being.
