POMPEI VII 14, 2. ANALISI E PROPOSTA RICOSTRUTTIVA DELLA DECORAZIONE PARIETALE.

Abstract

Dopo una panoramica sugli studi e la storia degli studi che hanno riguardato le decorazioni parietali, specialmente in contesto vesuviano e di Pompei, si propone una analisi e uno studio delle evidenze archeologiche riguardanti la decorazione parietale, emerse nella campagna del 2016 condotta a Pompei nella bottega (VII 14, 2). Il lavoro illustra le metodologie applicate in corso di scavo per la documentazione e il consolidamento delle evidenze archeologiche, l'analisi e il confronto dei dati per poi arrivare a proporre un'ipotesi ricostruttiva della decorazione parietale della bottega.

After an overview of the studies and the history of studies regarding wall decorations, especially in the Vesuvian and Pompeii context, an analysis and study of the archaeological evidence regarding wall decorations is proposed, which emerged in the 2016 campaign conducted in Pompeii in the workshop (VII 14, 2). The work shows the methodologies applied during the excavation for the documentation and reinforcement of the archaeological evidence, the analysis and comparison of the data and then propose a reconstructive hypothesis of the wall decoration of the shop.
