Ruolo dell'Infermiere nella Gestione del Dolore nel Paziente Oncologico in Trattamento Chemioterapico

Abstract

Lo scopo di questa tesi è quello di analizzare e comprendere le problematiche legate alla comparsa del sintomo doloroso. In particolare, l’obiettivo, è quello di individuare le caratteristiche principali del dolore riferito dai pazienti con malattia oncologica. Il dolore da cancro ha peculiarità specifiche che verranno descritte tramite l’analisi degli studi presenti in letteratura. Verranno inoltre individuate le principali strategie, linee guida e strumenti utilizzati dall'equipe multidisciplinare al fine di prevenire e ridurre il più possibile le conseguenze legate al dolore oncologico. Verrà inoltre descritto il ruolo dell’infermiere che, in questo contesto, risulta essere di fondamentale importanza non solo per il paziente ma anche come supporto alla famiglia.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and understand the problems related to the appearance of the painful symptom. In particular, the goal is to identify the main characteristics of pain reported by patients with oncological disease. Cancer pain has specific peculiarities that will be described through the analysis of studies in the literature. The main strategies, guidelines and tools used by the multidisciplinary team in order to prevent and reduce the consequences related to cancer pain as much as possible will also be identified. The role of the nurse will also be described, which, in this context, is of fundamental importance not only for the patient but also as a support to the family.
