IL PERTURBANTE NELLA FILMOGRAFIA DI M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN

Abstract

La tesi di laurea ripercorre la filmografia di M. Night Shyamalan col proposito di dimostrare la centralità del concetto di Unheimliche nella sua poetica. Nella prima parte si analizza il concetto stesso di Unheimliche secondo le prospettive di Freud e Lacan e la possibilità di un Unheimliche cinematografico. Nella seconda parte si affronta direttamente la poetica del regista attraverso l'analisi dei singoli film.

This dissertation retraces M. Night Shyamalan's filmography with the aim of demonstrating the centrality of the concept of the Unheimliche in his poetics. The first part analyzes the very concept of the Unheimliche from the perspectives of Freud and Lacan and the possibility of a cinematic Unheimliche. The second part directly addresses the director's poetics through the analysis of individual films.
