This thesis focuses on the implementation of models for the analysis and efficiency improvement of production systems within Ansaldo Energia, with particular attention to the Balanced Scorecard and the Value Chain. The topic is motivated by the need to enhance company performance in an increasingly competitive and globalized industrial context. The work first introduces Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the Balanced Scorecard as essential tools for monitoring and improving efficiency. It then explores Value Chain management, highlighting its contribution to production and logistics optimization. The core of the thesis presents the implementation of these strategic tools within Ansaldo Energia through a pilot project. In this phase, the analysis is carried out using simulated data, with the aim of evaluating the potential performance improvements and outlining future steps towards integration with real company data. The results demonstrate how the integration of strategic models can increase operational efficiency and reduce costs, enhancing the company’s overall competitiveness. Finally, the conclusions propose future developments, particularly in view of a progressive integration with real operational data and the evolution towards advanced decision-support systems.
