Il regime fascista e l'arte rinascimentale: propaganda culturale nelle esposizioni nazionali e internazionali.

Abstract

Questo elaborato esplora il modo in cui il regime fascista ha sfruttato l'arte e gli elementi simbolici del periodo del Rinascimento per legittimare il proprio potere e comunicare la propria ideologia alle masse. Inoltre, attraverso lo studio di alcune mostre in Italia e negli Stati Uniti, verrà analizzato il modo in cui le mostre sono servite per fare propaganda politica e per affermare la superiorità della razza ariana.

This thesis explores how the fascist regime used art and symbolic elements from the Renaissance period to legitimize their power and to comunicate their ideology to the masses. By analyzing a few art exhibitions in Italy and in the United States, it will be shown how the regime used art exhibitions for political propaganda and to establish the supremacy of the aryan race.
