Verbosità e cortesia: uno studio di pragmatica contrastiva sull'atto linguistico della scusa in italiano e in tedesco.

Abstract

Questo studio si inserisce nella pragmatica interculturale e nell'analisi contrastiva. L'obiettivo di questa tesi è quello di studiare la verbosità nell'atto linguistico della scusa nelle due lingue italiano e tedesco. In particolare, in un primo momento ho introdotto l'atto linguistico della scusa e poi ho analizzato l'atto testa esaminando le mosse di supporto e le strategie linguistiche che accompagnano le scuse rituali e sostanziali. Per questa ricerca ho creato due questionari, uno per la lingua italiana e uno per la lingua tedesca, che ho distribuito tramite i social media e WhatsApp. I questionari contenevano tre domande personali e cinque scenette create appositamente per elicitare l'atto linguistico delle scuse da parte dei rispondenti. I risultati dell'analisi contrastiva delle strategie identificate mostrano molte somiglianze e alcune differenze tra le lingue osservate. In particolare, dallo studio è emerso che queste due lingue sono molto simili per quanto riguarda le strategie di comunicazione utilizzate, anche se presentano caratteristiche culturali diverse.

This study is part of intercultural pragmatics and contrastive analysis. The objective of this thesis is to study verbosity in the linguistic act of apology in the two languages Italian and German. In particular, at first I introduced the linguistic act of apology and then I analyzed the head act by examining the support moves and linguistic strategies that accompany the ritual and substantial apology. For this research I created two questionnaires, one for the Italian language and one for the German language, which I distributed via social media and WhatsApp. The questionnaires contained three personal questions and five sketches created specifically to elicit the speech act of apology from the respondents. The results of the contrastive analysis of the identified strategies show many similarities and some differences between the observed languages. In particular, the study showed that these two languages are very similar in terms of the communication strategies used, even if they have different cultural characteristics.
