Abstract

Il mondo dell'infanzia è un regno di esplorazione continua, e ogni esperienza contribuisce alla crescita e alla comprensione dei bambini. Questa ricerca si propone di analizzare come i libri illustrati possano ampliare la visione del mondo dei più piccoli, in particolare nella fascia di età 0-6 anni, fornendo loro strumenti narrativi che stimolino la fantasia e favoriscano la comprensione del contesto territoriale e culturale.

In un’epoca segnata dalla globalizzazione e dalla digitalizzazione, è fondamentale offrire ai bambini opportunità di connessione con l’ambiente locale e le sue ricchezze. I libri illustrati, che combinano testo e immagini, sono particolarmente adatti a questo scopo, ma è essenziale integrare elementi multisensoriali e tecnologie moderne per esperienze educative più coinvolgenti.

Il lavoro intende valorizzare l’educazione territoriale come strumento di integrazione delle diverse culture presenti nelle scuole, promuovendo la conoscenza reciproca e la comprensione delle diversità. Inoltre, si analizza l’evoluzione del turismo per bambini, che oggi cerca di offrire esperienze interattive e formative, piuttosto che passivamente ricreative. La tesi si articola in tre parti: la prima esplora il concetto di libro illustrato e quello di educazione territoriale; la seconda analizza la storia del turismo infantile e l’offerta editoriale dedicata; la terza esamina come le narrazioni visive possano contribuire a costruire un senso di appartenenza al territorio. Infine, si presentano due progetti pratici realizzati per testare queste teorie. In questo percorso, si cerca di favorire una maggiore consapevolezza e un legame profondo tra i bambini e il loro mondo, utilizzando lo sguardo infantile come una lente per comprendere meglio le nuove frontiere del sapere e dell’esperienza.

This research aims to analyze how illustrated books can broaden young children's worldview, particularly for those aged 0-6, by providing narrative tools that stimulate imagination and foster understanding of their cultural and territorial context.

In an era marked by globalization and digitalization, it is crucial to offer children opportunities to connect with their local environment and its riches. Illustrated books, which combine text and images, are particularly suited for this purpose, but it is essential to integrate multisensory elements and modern technologies to create more engaging educational experiences.

The work intends to highlight territorial education as a tool for integrating the various cultures present in schools, promoting mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. Additionally, the evolution of children's tourism is examined, which today seeks to provide interactive and educational experiences rather than merely recreational ones.

The thesis is structured in three parts: the first explores the concept of illustrated books and their effects on children; the second analyzes the history of children's tourism and the dedicated publishing offerings; the third examines how visual narratives can help build a sense of belonging to the territory. Finally, two practical projects are presented to test these theories.

Throughout this journey, the aim is to foster greater awareness and a deeper connection between children and their world, using the child’s perspective as a lens to better understand the new frontiers of knowledge and experience.
