FINO ALLA FINE L'accompagnamento nella cronicità e l'elaborazione del lutto: l'intervento dell'educatore professionale nella realtà de "La Tartaruga"

Abstract

“Fino alla Fine” nasce come progetto di tesi che racchiude un'analisi dell'educatore professionale socio sanitario, definito dal DM 520/98 e del suo contesto d'intervento. Il professionista lavora a contatto con una variegata utenza appartenente a tutte le fasce d’età trovando impiego in servizi sanitari, sociosanitari, sociali e nell’area penale elaborando progetti specifici costruiti sulle abilità presenti del soggetto, atti a soddisfare i suoi bisogni. Il contesto analizzato è il servizio ospitante del mio terzo tirocinio curriculare, la Casa Alloggio “La Tartaruga” del Centro di Solidarietà di Genova. La struttura accoglie chi presenta una diagnosi di sindrome da immunodeficienza acquisita (AIDS), causata dall’infezione del virus dell’HIV. All'interno dell'elaborato si indaga la malattia e la vita degli utenti, analizzandone i tratti caratteristici come il dolore cronico, la sofferenza e in alcuni casi la dipendenza da sostanze stupefacente. L’EP quindi interviene andando ad applicare il concetto di recovery, lavorando per garantire la miglior qualità di vita possibile. Segue l'arrivo incombente della morte che oggi viene considerata dalla nostra società un argomento tabù. Il fine vita, il funerale e il lutto sono dimensioni complesse con cui l'EP si interfaccia spesso nel servizio preso in analisi. La sofferenza che nasce dall’interruzione della relazione educativa e il trauma della morte devono essere protagonisti di un percorso di elaborazione dell’evento accaduto, in modo che l’EP possa limitare i disturbi correlati ad esso. Vengono proposte strategie per fermarsi, riflettere sull’evento traumatico per acquistare nuovamente le forze e ripartire. Tramite la stesura di questo progetto ho potuto iniziare un percorso di rielaborazione riguardo una grave perdita personale e quanto ho vissuto durante la mia permanenza in casa-alloggio, rivivendo la relazione e il ricordo di Lia e Vincenzo, ospiti de “La Tartaruga” che si sono abbandonati alla morte.

"Until the end" was born as a thesis project that includes an analysis of the professional socio-health educator, defined by Ministerial Decree 520/98 and his context of intervention. The professional works in contact with a varied user group belonging to all age groups, finding employment in health, socio-health, social services and in the penal area, developing specific projects built on the subject's present abilities, aimed at satisfying his needs. The context analyzed is the host service of my third curricular internship, the “La Tartaruga” accommodation center of the Solidarity Center of Genoa. The facility welcomes those with a diagnosis of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), caused by infection with the HIV virus. The thesis investigates the illness and life of users, analyzing their characteristic traits such as chronic pain, suffering and in some cases addiction to narcotic substances. The EP therefore intervenes by applying the concept of recovery, working to guarantee the best possible quality of life. It follows the looming arrival of death which is considered a taboo topic by our society today. The end of life, funeral and mourning are complex dimensions with which the EP often interfaces in the service analyzed. The suffering that arises from the interruption of the educational relationship and the trauma of death must be protagonists of a process of processing the event that occurred, so that PE can limit the disorders related to it. Strategies are proposed to stop, reflect on the traumatic event to regain strength and start again. Through the drafting of this project I was able to begin a process of re-elaboration regarding a serious personal loss and what I experienced during my stay in the house-accommodation, reliving the relationship and the memory of Lia and Vincenzo, guests of "La Tartaruga" who they are abandoned to death.
