Abstract

Nusantara 2.0 nasce dall’idea di andare a contrastare tutte le problematiche relative ai cambiamenti climatici, i quali presenteranno una nuova importante sfida per l’essere umano e la sua concezione di abitare un luogo. Fin dall’antichità questo aspetto è Stato stravolto da eventi e scoperte scientifiche; siamo passati da un concetto nomade ad uno maggiormente sedentario nei secoli. Le innumerevoli scoperte tecnologiche ci hanno persmesso di non patire più temperature eccessivamente calde o fredde, di poter avere acqua potabile nelle proprie abitazioni e luce artificiale nel momento del bisogno. Questo avvento tecnologico ha avuto un forte impatto su due fattori: la resilienza dell’essere umano e i cambiamenti climatici. Dal XX secolo difatti, si è registrato un forte aumento delle temperature medie globali dovute all’inquinamento prodotto dall’uomo e al rilascio di sempre più maggiori quantità di gas serra nell’atmosfera. L’aumento delle temperature causa ingenti problemi all’ambiente e alla fauna globale, la superficie dei ghiacciai si riduce sempre più andando ad innalzare il livello delle acque. L’intensità delle precipitazioni si fa sempre più costante, causando allagamenti e fenomeni di desertificazioni in determinate zone del globo. Sebbene i Governi di tutto il mondo stiano lavorando nella stessa direzione, e quindi garaantire un aumento di circa 1,5C nei prossimi anni, si dovrà anche optare a nuove soluzioni abitative.

Nusantara 2.0 was born from the idea of ​​tackling all the problems relating to climate change, which will present an important new challenge for human beings and their concept of living in a place. Since ancient times this aspect has been overturned by scientific events and discoveries; we have gone from a nomadic concept to a more sedentary one over the centuries. The countless technological discoveries have allowed us to no longer suffer from excessively hot or cold temperatures, to be able to have drinking water in our homes and artificial light when needed. This technological advent has had a strong impact on two factors: the resilience of human beings and climate change. In fact, since the 20th century, there has been a sharp increase in average global temperatures due to man-made pollution and the release of ever-increasing quantities of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The increase in temperatures causes huge problems for the environment and global fauna, the surface of glaciers is increasingly reduced, raising the water level. The intensity of precipitation becomes increasingly constant, causing flooding and desertification phenomena in certain areas of the globe. Although Governments around the world are working in the same direction, and therefore guarantee an increase of around 1.5C in the coming years, we will also have to opt for new housing solutions.
