Chromosome 14 syndrome, called “Ring14” is a rare and in

The “Ring14” Association brings together families of sick children, providing
their information on the syndrome and how to deal with it and offering
aggregative opportunities. It also finances research and develops projects

Chromosome 14 syndrome is a very burdensome family pathology
on the patient's family, both in welfare and economic and social terms.
I decided to develop this thesis because I casually read an article
of a 13 year old girl who suffered from the disease and passed away
suddenly. Her story made a big impression on me, since then I have

Rare diseases constitute a little-known reality that can be managed
communicating this reality is not easy. I started to wonder what it is

rare. I spoke with specific associations, professionals and
families to proceed with the drafting of the essay.
