Il problema della colpa nel pensiero di Karl Jaspers

Abstract

Alla base della stesura del seguente elaborato vi è l'interesse rivolto al problema della colpa e alle sue implicazioni non solo in campo etico, ma anche alle sue ricadute in ambito politico e sociale. Si pone particolare attenzione alle colpe attribuite alla Germania hitleriana e, dunque, ai cittadini tedeschi nel corso della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e della Shoah. L'autore di riferimento sarà Karl Jaspers, filosofo tedesco che visse in prima persona i tragici effetti del nazismo e che vide la propria nazione e i suoi concittadini al centro di uno degli eventi più drammatici della storia, subendo e al contempo agendo come parte attiva in questo processo. Nel primo capitolo viene presentata la tematica generale proponendo anzitutto un quadro globale della vita di Jaspers e della sua attività in qualità di filosofo. Nel secondo capitolo si farà invece riferimento alla sua opera del 1946 "La questione della colpa", con la quale si tenterà di fornire le principali linee guida per la comprensione della situazione tedesca durante il nazional-socialismo e della ricadute che questo periodo ebbe sui cittadini tedeschi e sul mondo intero. Infine, nel terzo capitolo, si analizzerà il tema del tragico.

At the basis of the following draft, there is the interest addressed to the problem of guilt and its implications not only in the ethical field, but also to its consequences in the political and social one. Particular attention is given to the faults attributed to Hitler’s Germany and, therefore, to German citizens during the Second World War and the Holocaust. The reference author will be Karl Jaspers, a German philosopher who experienced firsthand the tragic effects of Nazism and who saw his nation and its citizens at the center of one of the most dramatic events in history, suffering and at the same time acting as an active part in this process. In the first chapter, the general theme is presented, proposing first of all an overall picture of the life of Jaspers and his work as a philosopher. In the second chapter, reference will be made to his 1946 work "The Question of Guilt", in which I will try to provide the main guidelines for understanding the German situation during Nazism and its consequences for German citizens. Finally, in the third chapter, I will analyze the theme of the tragic.
