La Compagnia Teatro Akropolis: struttura, ricerca e proposte di teatro fisico sperimentale sul territorio genovese e nazionale

Abstract

La tesi proposta è un’analisi sulla fondazione e la storia della Compagnia Teatro Akropolis di Genova Sestri Ponente, e del suo operato. È stata messa in luce la capacità della Compagnia di integrarsi in un territorio – quello del Medio Ponente genovese e più nello specifico del quartiere sestrese – che ormai da molti anni offre una proposta culturale limitata e relativamente debole ai propri cittadini. Attraverso un’intervista ai direttori artistici, Clemente Tafuri e David Beronio, è stato indagato il pensiero filosofico ed artistico che muove la realtà della Compagnia, portando in luce alcuni deli autori e dei filosofi che dall’antichità ad oggi sono stati oggetto di studio dei direttori e dei performer di Akropolis. Attraverso un excursus degli spettacoli prodotti è stato tracciato un percorso utile al fine di mostrare il passaggio dal ruolo dell’attore alla figura del performer avvenuto durante i primi dieci anni di vita della Compagnia. Inoltre, è illustrata la struttura rinnovata del nuovo Teatro Akropolis, inaugurato nel 2022, e il fulcro delle attività della Compagnia, il Festival Testimonianze Ricerca Azioni. Viene proposta poi l’analisi della gestione organizzativa di Akropolis e le relazioni con il territorio risultate utili per ampliare l’azione della Compagnia nel corso del tempo. Di conseguenza, sono stati presi in esame i documenti e le fonti di tipo economico, soprattutto in relazione ai sostegni e bandi ottenuti dalle Istituzioni, l’andamento dei contributi del FUS di cui la Compagnia dispone dal 2018 e l’analisi degli stakeholder ai quali Akropolis si rivolge. Infine è descritta la proposta laboratoriale attivata da Akropolis per la formazione di giovani teatranti, all’interno e all’esterno delle scuole, mettendo in luce il lavoro svolto negli anni sul territorio nell’ambito del teatro-educazione e confrontando le proposte interne ai laboratori tenuti dai docenti e dai performer della Compagnia con le esperienze laboratoriali di altre realtà.

The proposed thesis is an analysis of the foundation and history of the Akropolis Theatre Company of Genoa Sestri Ponente, and its work. It has been highlighted the ability of the Society to integrate in a territory - that of the Middle West of Genoa and more specifically of the district sestrese - that for many years now offers a limited and relatively weak cultural proposal to its citizens. Through an interview with the artistic directors, Clemente Tafuri and David Beronio, was investigated the philosophical and artistic thought that moves the reality of the Company, bringing to light some of the authors and philosophers who from ancient times have been the subject of study by the directors and performers of Akropolis. Through an excursus of the shows produced a useful path has been traced in order to show the transition from the role of the actor to the figure of the performer occurred during the first ten years of life of the Company. Also illustrated is the renovated structure of the new Akropolis Theatre, inaugurated in 2022, and the core of the Company’s activities, the Festival Testimonies Research Action. The analysis of the organizational management of Akropolis and the relations with the territory were useful to expand the action of the Company over time. As a result, economic documents and sources were examined, in particular in relation to the support and notices obtained by the institutions, the performance of the FUS contributions available to the Company since 2018 and the analysis of the stakeholders to whom Akropolis addresses itself. Finally, it describes the workshop proposal activated by Akropolis for the training of young theater players, inside and outside the schools, highlighting the work done over the years in the field of theatereducation and comparing the internal proposals of the laboratories held by the teachers and the performers of the Society with the laboratory experiences of other realities.
