La donna serpente La Scuola dello Stabile di Genova nel mondo

Abstract

La donna serpente di Carlo Gozzi è una delle dieci Fiabe teatrali. Le fiabe teatrali hanno la peculiarità di mischiare la favola e la Commedia dell’Arte. La donna serpente è la quinta fola. Gozzi la mise in scena assieme alla Compagnia di Antonio Sacchi, che era il Truffaldino più famoso di quel periodo. La fortuna di questo spettacolo arriva fino ad oggi; nel 1979 La donna serpente è messa in scena dal regista Egisto Marcucci con sette allievi della Scuola dello Stabile di Genova e quattro professionisti. Avrà un successo incredibile e farà una tournée in giro per il mondo (Francia, Messico, Mosca, Leningrado, Olanda). La critica è sempre entusiasta ed elogia gli attori, il regista ma anche la scenografia e i costumi di Emanuele Luzzati. Egisto Marcucci è un regista che viene dal Gruppo della Rocca, una cooperativa autogestita molto sperimentale, e porterà questa sperimentazione anche nella Scuola dello Stabile di Genova come insegnante. La scelta del testo di Gozzi da parte del regista è data dal filtro che i tedeschi e i russi hanno dato ai testi di Gozzi, e quindi un mix di scelte stilistiche sulla scena. Marcucci utilizza per il prologo un testo di Hoffman per presentare una compagnia fatta di burattini e marionette (gli attori), guidati dal capocomico che poi sarà Pantalone e dall’inserviente che si ritrova a ricoprire il ruolo del principe Farruscad. In scena ci sono le marionette che riprendono le idee di Mejerchol’d e anche i pupi siciliani che si muovono come se fossero tirati da fili. Nell’ultima parte della tesi ci sono le interviste ad alcuni dei protagonisti che con grande commozione rievocano sensazioni, ricordi, momenti di quello spettacolo, che li ha segnati tutti e che nonostante gli impegni lavorativi li ha tenuti molto uniti, una cosa che non accade quasi più.

The Snake Woman by Carlo Gozzi is one of the ten theatrical fairy tales. The theatrical fairy tales have the peculiarity of mixing the fairy tale and the Commedia dell'Arte. The Snake Woman is the fifth tale. Gozzi staged it with the Antonio Sacchi’s Company, who was the most famous Truffaldino of that period. The luck of this play reaches up to today; in 1979 The Snake Woman was staged by the director Egisto Marcucci with seven students from the Scuola dello Stabile of Genoa and four professional actors. It will be incredibly successful and will tour the world (France, Mexico, Moscow, Leningrad, Holland).The critics are always enthusiastic and praise the actors, the director but also the scenography and costumes by Emanuele Luzzati. Egisto Marcucci is a director who comes from the Gruppo della Rocca, a very experimental self-managed cooperative, and he will also bring this experimentation to the Scuola dello Stabile of Genoa as a teacher. The director's choice of Gozzi's text is given by the filter that the Germans and Russians gave to Gozzi's texts, and therefore a mix of stylistic choices on stage. Marcucci uses a text by Hoffman for the prologue to present a company made up of puppets and marionettes (the actors), led by the manager who will later be Pantalone and by the attendant who finds himself playing the role of Prince Farruscad. On stage there are the Pupi that take up the ideas of Mejerchol'd and also the Sicilian’s Pupi that move as if they were pulled by strings. In the last part of the thesis there are interviews with some of the protagonists who, with great emotion, recall sensations, memories, moments of that play, which marked them all and which, despite their work commitments, kept them very close together, something that does not happen almost more.
