La sicurezza informatica: un'analisi preliminare della consapevolezza

Abstract

Questa tesi affronta il problema della sicurezza delle informazioni e della sicurezza informatica (cyber security), focalizzandosi sugli aspetti umani che la caratterizzano. Dopo un’ampia rassegna della letteratura scientifica disponibile viene presentato lo stato dell’arte a riguardo di questi importanti e attuali argomenti. Il concetto di cyber security e di cyberspazio viene esaminato attraverso la classificazione dei metodi di intrusione, le finalità degli attacchi e i possibili danni derivanti; evidenziando il ruolo giocato in questo contesto dal fattore umano. Inoltre, vengono presentati i risultati ottenuti dall’analisi di un questionario somministrato a un campione di studenti dell’Università di Genova. Il questionario, derivato da «The Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire» (HAIS-Q), aveva lo scopo di valutare la consapevolezza relativamente al problema della sicurezza informatica. I risultati ottenuti sono sicuramente interessanti anche se sono da ritenersi preliminari e certamente non esaustivi.

This thesis faces the problem of information security and cyber security, addressing the related human aspects. After an extensive survey of the available scientific literature, the thesis presents the state-of-art concerning these important and current topics. The concepts of cyber security and cyber space are discussed by classifying the intrusion techniques, the goals of attacks, and the consequent impairments also highlighting the role played by human factors in this context. Furthermore, the study deals with the results achieved through the analysis of questionnaire administered to a group of students belonging to the University of Genova. The questionnaire, derived from «The Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire» (HAIS-Q), had the goal of evaluating the awareness on the cyber security and the related problems. The achieved results are undoubtedly interesting even if preliminary and surely not exhaustive.
