Il Basso Alessandrino come luogo di transito commerciale in epoca di Antico Regime

Abstract

L'obiettivo della trattazione è quello di mettere in evidenza l'importanza che la zona piemontese del Basso Alessandrino ha ricoperto come luogo di scambio e passaggio commerciale nel periodo di Antico Regime: un territorio di connessione, scambio, consumo che si trova al centro delle grandi direttrici economiche dell'Epoca moderna, come la Repubblica di Genova, il Ducato di Milano, e di tutte quelle realtà più a Nord, arrivando fino all'Europa intera. La ricerca seguente si svolgerà nel seguente modo: una prima parte sarà interamente dedicata a una sorta di introduzione alla situazione economica in cui l'Italia si trovava nel periodo tra Sei e Settecento, al fine di orientare il lettore all'argomento più specifico che seguirà. Si farà riferimento a fonti bibliografiche e a studi già ultimati, per poi addentrarci nell'indagine e nella lettura di alcuni documenti ricavati presso l'Archivio di Stato di Genova, al fine di approfondire le conoscenze già acquisite. L'ultima parte della trattazione riguarderà invece, più da vicino, proprio l'indagine sull'economia e i commerci attuati in un'area del Basso Alessandrino, cioè quella di Tortona, al fine di condurre il lettore all'interno di una realtà variegata e complessa, rappresentativa dell'intera area da noi indagata.

The aim of the discussion is to highlight the importance that the Piedmontese area of ​​the Lower Alexandrian area had as a place of exchange and commercial passage in the period of the Ancient Regime: a territory of connection, exchange, consumption that is located at the center of great economic guidelines of the modern era, such as the Republic of Genoa, the Duchy of Milan, and all those realities further north, reaching the whole of Europe. The following research will take place as follows: the first part will be entirely dedicated to a sort of introduction to the economic situation in which Italy was in the period between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, in order to orient the reader to the more specific topic that will follow. . Reference will be made to bibliographic sources and studies already completed, and then we will go into the investigation and reading of some documents obtained at the State Archives of Genoa, in order to deepen the knowledge already acquired. The last part of the discussion will instead concern, more closely, precisely the investigation on the economy and the trade carried out in an area of ​​the Lower Alessandrino, namely that of Tortona, in order to lead the reader into a variegated and complex, representative of the entire area investigated by us.
