Questa tesi analizza la crisi del Sahel nel contesto dei cambiamenti climatici, con focus su iniziative come la Grande Muraglia Verde. Esamina cause e conseguenze del cambiamento climatico, accordi internazionali e le sfide nel Sahel legate a siccità, povertà e conflitti. Descrive la Grande Muraglia Verde, progetto per combattere la desertificazione, obiettivi, attori coinvolti e tecniche utilizzate. Valuta successi (ripristino territorio, posti di lavoro) e sfide (finanziamenti, governance). Conclude delineando scenari futuri e sottolineando l'importanza dello sviluppo sostenibile

This thesis analyzes the Sahel crisis in the context of climate change, with a focus on initiatives such as the Great Green Wall. Examines causes and consequences of climate change, international agreements and challenges in the Sahel related to drought, poverty and conflict. Describes the Great Green Wall, a project to combat desertification, objectives, actors involved and techniques used. Evaluate successes (land restoration, jobs) and challenges (funding, governance). He concludes by outlining future scenarios and underlining the importance of sustainable development
