Genova Dry Garden Strategia verde per mitigare il cambiamento climatico nelle regioni costiere

Abstract

L'elaborato mira ad analizzare il verde urbano in relazione all'isola di calore urbana nella città di Genova, facendo emergere come una città densamente costruita e priva di verde urbano sia più soggetta a temperature elevate. L'andamento climatico attuale mostra come il futuro sia sottoposto ad un innalzamento delle temperature e in particolare modo a lunghi periodi di siccità, costringendo la città a uno stress idrico. Per far fronte a questo scenario, si propone come una possibile soluzione il Dry Garden, in grado di sopravvivere al caldo estremo, garantendo verde resistente alla città.

The paper aims to analyze urban greenery in relation to the urban heat island in the city of Genoa, bringing out how a densely built city without urban greenery is more prone to high temperatures. Current climate trends show how the future is subject to rising temperatures and particularly long dry spells, forcing the city into water stress. To cope with this scenario, Dry Garden is proposed as a possible solution, which can survive the extreme heat, providing resilient greenery for the city.
